Fishing license

Anyone between 18 and 65 years old MUST have the statutory fishing license in order to fish in public fishing waters.

Put & Take lakes are exempt.

The fishing license can be purchased as a day card, weekly card and annual card, and can be purchased at Thy Tourist Office.

With the national fishing license, you can fish along the coast of the North Sea and the Limfjord.

You can also fish in some of the lakes (sø) in Thy National Park. To fish in the folloeing lakes; Nors Sø, Vandet Sø and Flade Sø, you will need to purchase an additional fishing license.

For Nors- og Vandet Sø, day tickets can be purchased at Thy Tourist Office.

You can buy both day and week tickets for Flade Sø. These can be purchased at Thy Tourist Office or at Krik Marine / Limbo Boats, Havne väg 2, Agger Harbour in Agger.

It is only allowed to fish with rod and line, and only from the banks and at the marked fishing area by the lakes.
