The picturesque utility houses at Stenbjerg Landingsplads are built by the fishermen themselves around 1900.There is a really cozy environment around the old landing site at Stenbjerg Strand. Stenbjerg town itself is sheltered from the west storm a little inland. In the old days, a few fishing houses were built around the rescue station at the beach; hence the name Stenbjerg Landingsplads.Every year on the "Stenbjergdagen" there is live music in the old houses. The warehouse is cleared in favor of a huge fishing table with everything good for the sea, and the rescue service demonstrates its equipment. In the rescue house, there is a Rescue Museum, where, among other things, See a rescue boat from 1892 as well as other tools used by the rescue service. It is also at Stenbjerg Landingsplads, the information center for Thy National Park. Here are the local volunteer hosts who staff the center and here are exhibitions, leaflets, sale of cards and books etc. Open 01.04.-31.10. pm. 13: 00-17: 00thRead more about Stenbjerg in the folder from the Danish Nature Agency.
